Designed with an Artist’s Eye

SUNDARA was founded by Erika Tucker, a textile designer and visual artista textile designer and visual artist with a background in design and creative direction.

Erika earned her BFA in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and her MFA in Visual Studies from Norfolk State University. Her appreciation for color, pattern and craft shapes every SUNDARA collection.

Each piece is designed to feel artful yet wearable—comfortable enough for home and refined enough to become part of your everyday life.

Made by Hand

Our textiles are created with artisan partners in Rajasthan, India, where fabric is printed by hand using carved wooden blocks.

Because of this handmade process, slight variations in color and pattern may occur. These are not imperfections; they are part of the character and beauty of the craft.

We produce in intentionally small batches, allowing us to create thoughtfully while honoring the people and processes behind each piece.

How the Pajama Promise Began

Before SUNDARA, Erika founded Pajama Jams for Youth, Inc., a nonprofit that has provided more than 30,000 pairs of new pajamas to children in need since 2008.

That work inspired SUNDARA’s Pajama Promise—an ongoing commitment to help bring comfort and better sleep to children through Pajama Jams for Youth.

The Leighton Signature Set is at the heart of that promise. With every Leighton Signature Set purchased, SUNDARA provides one new pair of pajamas to a child in need.
